Active Server Pages is Microsoft’s server-side web technology framework allowing for dynamic and database driven websites. You can use several different programming scripting languages with ASP, like VBScript, JavaScript and Perl. The default scripting language for ASP is VBScript. The ASP code is executed on the web server (IIS) and then returned as an HTML to the client’ s browser.
